Brighton Sports Therapist - Jamie Webb

Jamie Webb Dip MSST – Clinical Sports Therapist – Registered with The Society of Sports Therapists

Sports Therapist Jamie Webb (qualified 2004) is a self-confessed muscle geek. Jamie is constantly seeking out and researching new ideas and approaches from around the physiotherapy world. He is a true people person having given up a previous life in IT for, among other reasons, more human interaction!

His love of people and his own personal journey has lead him to explore the effect of the mind on all of our injuries. Whether that’s a nasty new one or one that’s been around for years and years. His conclusion? The mind and body are inextricably linked. Where does one start and the other begin?

Jamie describes his treatment as a progressive blend of anything that works. He uses new physiotherapy insight into how the body is truly connected and blends that with a sprinkling of psychology to truly understand why the pain is there. He loves the challenge of helping people to find a way of helping themselves where previously they had no hope.

His ethos is simply to ‘inspire people to make the best of what they have.’ Whether that be an Olympic athlete or helping a granny walk down the road. This desire to inspire has lead him to pursue further qualification in life coaching (watch this space) to help people to fulfill their potential physically and emotionally.

He lives in Kemp Town with his wife and two young daughters. Work is his down time! So he’s always happy to see you. His long awaited book, The Pain Is Not The Problem, is mostly still in his head and ever changing in scope and content.

Jamie is registered and insured as a Sports Therapist with the Society Of Sports Therapists.

Physiotherapist Brighton - Mark Gilmore

Mark Gilmore BSc (Hons) MCSP – Chartered Physiotherapist – Registered with HCPC

Mark is an experienced registered physiotherapist (qualified 2007) and with his background in sports and exercise science, a degree in physiotherapy, qualified yoga and meditation teacher, reiki therapist and his own history of injuries (3 surgeries, broken leg, sprained ankles, dead legs, hamstring injuries, shin splints, whiplash), Mark really does have it all covered!

He’s an expert in interpreting the relationships between the mind and body. He has developed his own slant on the clinics progressive approach to give you a uniquely relaxing approach to physiotherapy. The more relaxed we are the less pain we feel. Mark is generally referred to around the clinic as Zen!

His treatments are grounded in excellent understanding and application of his physiotherapy background blended with a wider appreciation of how the body should move and what it needs to do to move better. Bringing more efficiency and most importantly, less pain. Coupled with his further education in yoga and meditation it makes Mark’s treatments a unique holistic mind and body combination. Suberbly effective for reducing pain and, as a lovely side affect, incredibly relaxing.

Mark loves sport (he did a 4 yr degree in it!). That’s how he managed to break his body so much and go him interested in physiotherapy. He particularly enjoys football, rugby, adventure races and, to balance it all out with a lot of yoga.

He lives in Worthing with the love of his life Victoria. She is the reason Mark ’emigrated’ from Ireland. They met on a retreat (of course!) many years ago and instantly forged an incredible bond. Excitingly they are expecting the birth of their first child this spring. We’re interested to see if Mark can remain Zen like whilst sleep deprived!

Mark is a fully registered Physiotherapist and insured with the Chartered Society Of Physiotherapists.
